Where was I going? by Serge-Salvatrice Where was I going? by Serge-Salvatrice
Got the idea from :iconlunarmew:
So here is Sega once again all huge, if not bigger.  She needs to be careful where she steps when lost in thought :B
Spent a long time trying to color this one

For :iconimprovement-club: I would like some critique with the point of view but mainly on the coloring since I spent a long time on this.

I really like the angle on this one, and seeing her giant foot looming overhead giving us a nice view.

I think it worked out well, seems like keeping the proportions accurate is the most difficult part to me.

I really love the sky shading detail. It really brings out the illusion of her upper body extending farther and farther away from the point of view. her face angle almost seems a bit odd, as I'm not sure if she's looking down or forward. For me it seems like you'd either see more of her face looking down, or you'd see mostly her chin and nose from a lower perspective. But I'm not exactly an expert artist >.> so take my comment with a grain of salt, and feel free to disagree with me if I seem like I'm completely wrong.

Personally I love these kinds of angles, they really bring out a sense of how truly small you are compared the portrayed giantess. It's one of my favorite kinds of pictures to see. your coloring is really well done, despite her being blue, she still fades out well with the sky.

One thing I would note, is that the shadowing of her foot over the buildings is odd, as it's hard to really pin point where the light comes from, as the angle it appears to be from there are buildings that should be shadowed but aren't.

sorry if this was a bother, I only hoped to help in any way I can! Thanks again.

I'm still not great at doing colors and shadowing yet so doing the buildings and her foot was tough.

I understand, I'm not very good at art at all XD at best I do hard coloring, with little to no shading at all.

sorry if I upset you I really love your art, hope I didn't bother.

Hello~

Perspective:
Something in the leg is confusing me, but I think I simply don't know what her leg looks like. >_< Anyway, in general I keep thinking she's bending over a little because the torso seems long (but her boobs might be tricking me due to blocking my view) and the very visible face. Since she doesn't seem to be looking downward, I think her big boobs would conceal a good portion of her head. Right now it's like her neck is craning forward.

Coloring:
No major complaints from me. But if you're looking for anything to improve on, the depth could use some work. Aside from clarity/sharpness/detail fading further in the distance, color also gets affected. In this case, I suggest it to get duller farther up.

Thank you for your insight.  I didn't realize the view of her anatomy was that confusing ;n;
Still a long way to go to get point of view perspective right.

The shadows are nicely done on this piece, and as always Sega looks very nice looming over a little city.

Though it may have helped if you had put something else in the background; maybe some planes flying by or a cloud or two to give even more refrence to her scale in comparison to the buildings below.

Other than that, I like it and I hope to see more of her soon.
